Financial Literacy
Members of the Accounting & Financial Women's Alliance Mesa East Valley Chapter support our community by sharing our expertise in financial literacy training events for local nonprofit organizations and their clients.
The Foundation of Accounting & Financial Women's Alliance supports financial literacy efforts by encouraging chapters to teach financial literacy classes at the local level. Members of the AFWA Mesa East Valley Chapter participate in financial literacy training programs to provide life changing opportunities for member of our community. Our chapter members have strong accounting and finance backgrounds and donate their time and expertise to teach financial basics including banking, budgeting and managing credit. We provide training using the FDIC's Money Smart program for adults and young adults which offer a range of modules with easy to follow instructor and participate guides.
Our chapter began our financial literacy efforts with Florence Crittenton, Fresh Start and ABIL.
